Our Philosophy is one that allows all children to be treated equally and to accommodate their individual needs.
We provide a warm, friendly environment in which they can feel safe and secure, where children are given the opportunity to make choices and to take on new challenges, to develop their self-esteem through active participation in developmentally appropriate recreational activities.
To work in partnership with families, the school and the wider community to help each individual child achieve their full potential.

Program Goals:

  • To provide quality care for school age children.
  • To provide a child initiated program.
  • To assist children in developing friendships and with learning to deal with conflicts in an appropriate manner.
  • To encourage a sense of belonging.
  • To foster the child's self help skills
  • To provide recreational and leisure activities.
  • To encourage children to be aware and care for their environment.
  • To provide activities that are gender inclusive, developmentally and culturally appropriate.

Lilydale West Primary School operates a Before and After School Care Program and also caters for early dismissals at the end of each Term. We also operate a special program for Curriculum Days.

Our program is located in the senior building and entry is via the side door near room 7. Our program has the use of two rooms, with the main being Room 7 just along the corridor on the right and we also have the use of the General purpose Room. The kitchen and the administration office for the program is located between Room 7 and the GP room.

Please feel free to contact our qualified coordinator, Wendy Gilbert with any queries you may have, or to arrange a tour of our facilities.  We also have detailed information on our procedures , staff , hours of operation and cost on this website
