Code of Behaviour – L.W.P.S Specific
The following regulations have been put in place to ensure that the ‘good name’ of Lilydale West Primary School is upheld within the After School Basketball Competition.
· If a student receives a technical foul or an unsportsmanlike foul (deliberately hurting another child) they must complete the remainder of the game on the bench. They will also be barred from participating in the following match and possibly receive an additional punishment depending on the actual incident. The incident will be reported to the After School Basketball School Co-ordinator or the Principal of the school.
· Coaches/Spectator behaviour is regarded as just as important as the behaviour displayed by the children. All involved in After School Basketball, (children, coaches, team managers, parent and family spectators) are all representing Lilydale West Primary School, therefore an appropriate level of behaviour is expected by all. Any behaviour which brings negative attention, and that is not consistent with the VPSSA Coaches/Spectator Code of Behaviour stated below, will be investigated and dealt with.
· Teams that are continually experiencing problems with ‘getting along’ will face the prospect of being withdrawn from the competition. If it is found that the same child/children are causing these problems, they face the prospect of being barred from representing Lilydale West in the After School Basketball Competition.
The link below will take you to the Code of Conduct section of the Kilsyth Basketball Web site. There is a Code of Conduct outlined for Coaches, Players, Spectators, Parents, Officials and Administrators. It is important that all involved in the competition are aware of these expectations and that they are followed. If not followed, there is the possibility that you may be barred from any involvement in the competition.
