Sports and Recreation Resource Centre

Sport and Recreation participation outside of the school setting is continually growing in popularity with the current Lilydale West student population.

This is a very positive thing, as participation in sport and recreation outside of school can help children to:

  • Improve physical fitness.
  • Improve confidence through learning skills and experiencing success.
  • Learn to control their impulses – which is necessary for success in future sport participation as well as social relationships.
  • Build friendships.
  • Start lifetime interests.
  • Learn about rules and fair play.
  • Cope with winning and losing
In order to help parents and students to make links with local competitions, clubs and organisations, the following resource has been created. Some general information as well as links to web sites has been provided about each area. Please accept this information as a guide only.
